"Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'ma Let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time!"
With one drunken mess of a sentence Kanye West descended from the ranks of beloved hip hop producer, with a penchant for inappropriate remarks, to the biggest pariah in music this side of Chris Brown. Seeing as how this all old news now I bet you're wondering what relevance this has today. Yesterday Taylor Swift improbably snagged album of the year at the Grammy's. With the list of her competitors comprised of veteran artist(Beyonce and Dave Matthew's Band) and more talented peers(Lady Gaga) it seemed like the tiny songstress was outclassed, outgunned, and out of her league.
However, the truth of the matter is without the unintentional aid of Kanye she really would've been. Before West trampled her "moment" Swift's sales were nearly nonexistent, but almost overnight Taylor became a unit selling titan. Everyone loves a villain and Kanye became Swift's Luthor. Without West Taylor's big win last night would've landed in the lap of someone more deserving...like Beyonce or something.

But the million unit question is: Where was Kanye when we needed him last night? It's like some perverse full circle irony in which West saw the future and chose to intervene; which in turn resulted in him making the prophecy come to fruition.
Here's a commentary from The Doctor(10th) to explain why trying to alter time is a bad idea.
